How GrantAhead verifies funding dates

Scope before scale

The current pilot contains ten programs and is not presented as complete coverage.

We include programs only when a current official page or formal notice supports the record. We do not fill missing dates, amounts, regions or eligibility conditions from memory.

The evidence path

Every included record has an official source card, a source-review date and claim-level content mapping.

Source → claim → page → rendered site → live site. Each claim records its source and update trigger. Content review checks meaning and applicability; local and live comparisons check that the rendered page preserves the approved wording.

The states we preserve

Calendar rules

Calendar exports contain actual dated stages only; anytime and unannounced records do not generate events.

A date-only record becomes an all-day calendar entry. A sponsor-local-time record keeps its stated local-time meaning rather than receiving an invented UTC offset. Exported files are snapshots, not automatically updated subscriptions.

What we do not infer

Career-stage filters are navigation aids, not eligibility decisions. We do not infer success rates, funding chances, unannounced cycles or application advice from other programs. Official notices and your research office remain the final check.
